This hotel is such a gem! It's located right in the heart of the town on a quiet street, making it the perfect base for exploring. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds for a good night's sleep. The attention to detail is excellent, from the friendly and helpful staff to the included breakfast with its exceptionally good coffee. Plus, the value for money is outstanding, especially considering the central location.
All was absolutely fine!

This hotel is a GREAT value for your money, especially if you're traveling with children. You get 2 bedrooms (one with 2 twin beds and one with a full or queen bed), a sitting room and bathroom inside the walls of Rothenburg! This is one of the CLEANEST hotels I have ever stayed in - and I'm quite picky in this area! I was unable to find a single cleanliness flaw to photograph for posting on hotel review websites. The fee includes a typical German breakfast (yogurt, meat, cheese, rolls, butter, jam, nutella, & honey, coffee, orange juice, & water). The owners are very friendly and helpful. They put English language brochures about Rothenburg in our room, so I didn't even need to visit tourist information. Also, one afternoon, my son locked himself in the bathroom and couldn't get out (it has an old-fashioned type key that is hard for kids to work). The owner went out back and had my son throw the key down to him. Then he came up and unlocked the door from the hallway (if you have kids, I recommend putting this key on the highest shelf at the beginning of your stay!) I sent them an email a few weeks prior to our arrival asking several questions and they replied quickly. Parking is available. The shower is great - it closes all around (unlike typical German showers.) This hotel is also very quiet at night, even with the bedroom windows open. It is located on a small quiet street, but it is above a beer garden/restaurant, so I was a bit worried that it might be loud well into the night. Our stay included a Friday night, and the beer garden closed by 10 PM. It was quiet well before 9 PM. This hotel has a separate lot for parking, if you have a car. This is a HUGE plus, as Rothenburg streets are narrow, and parking is scarce. There are books and board games on the shelves in the sitting room, along with a TV and radio. The photos of Silbernen Kanne on this website are accurate.
There is no air conditioning. This is not unusual for German hotels, and few (if any) of the hotels in Rothenburg are probably air conditioned. Nevertheless, it was 95*F+ one day, plus humidity, and that night was almost unbearable. Ceiling fans, or floor/table fans, would help. On the other days of our stay, it cooled down at night if you left the windows open. It would also be nice if there was a small refrigerator in the apartment to keep drinks cold overnight. There is also no phone in the apartment. Overall, I recommend this hotel. The "apartment" is furnished a bit like a college apartment, with mismatched furniture. But, for the size & location at this price (and level of cleanliness) it is worth it!

Our Easter experience at this hotel was amazing. The breakfast was really impressive, with a wide variety of options. The location was ideal as we could walk to the historic center in just a minute. , the hotel room was very tidy and silent despite being close to restaurants and shops.
The poor quality of the Wi-Fi signal in our room, which was quite inconvenient at times. the parking spot was quite a distance away and we needed to pay on a daily basis.

This guesthouse is a fantastic place to stay, with a terrific location close to the town center and main attractions. the staff is attentive and the rooms are spacious, with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. the breakfast is also impressive, and there are plenty of cafes, bakeries, and restaurants, including an excellent Greek taverna next door. Whether you want to be in the heart of the action or away from the main tourist area, this place delivers.
The WiFi may not be reliable at times, but the hotel is helpful in resolving any issues.

Room was spacious and could accommodate 4-5 people. Excellent Italian restaurant and bakery around the corner. Quiet neighborhood and accommodating staff who matched my dietary requests.
No breakfast provided and no elevator, which was a downside as I was on a business trip and had to carry my luggage up many stairs. It was also quite difficult to find the hotel as the internet map was not accurate, so I had to ask around for directions.
